DIY It - A Confetti Acrylic Organizer

I have come to never underestimate the power of adhesive vinyl. There are so many uses for it! Sure you can cut it out into sayings or shapes for your walls, but I like to think outside the box when it comes to it's uses. After a quick trip to Home Goods (Who am I kidding? A trip there is never quick! Ha!), I found several cute acrylic desk organizers, and after a little vinyl cutting, I created the cutest confetti acrylic organizer that is perfect for holding either my cocktail garnishes on my bar cart or my office accessories on my desk.

So, essentially you are using the vinyl to create your own confetti stickers that you can just stick on to any surface for a little confetti action. And oh what fun that is!

The Supplies:

  • Adhesive vinyl in 5-6 colors (I used matte Orcal vinyl for this project, but any adhesive vinyl will work)
  • Vinyl cutting machine
  • Acrylic desk organizer (or any surface really!)

To begin you will want to cut out different confetti type shapes from each color of vinyl. I used circles, ovals, curls, triangles, and squares. Luckily these aren't too complicated of shapes, so they are easy to recreate in whichever vinyl cutting program you use. Once the vinyl is cut, you can peel off the negative space vinyl to reveal your confetti stickers.

Then it's just a matter of peeling and sticking to your surface to create your own confetti organizer!

And that is it! Seriously easy!

The toughest part of this whole DIY is determining where you will end up using your new confetti organizer. Bathroom? Office? Kitchen? Maybe you just need to buy three so that you don't have to decide and can have a bit of confetti in every room!
