Style It – Tassel Napkin Rings for Thanksgiving

filed under

I sure do love fancy table settings, but I am still in the middle of the after college but not quite adult phase of dinner wear. I am slowly trying to accumulate nice plates, glasses, silverware, napkins, etc… without spending a ton of money. I finally have a nice set of plain white plates and serving dishes, and next on my list of wants are gold flatware like these. But in the meantime I am going to try to make what I have work and DIY a little (like these DIY gold rimmed glasses I made) to get a nice table setting.

That brings me to these gorgeous little tassel napkin rings that I DIY’ed for Thanksgiving dinner.

I used just a few jewelry supplies to create these simple yet elegant napkin rings. To make your own you will need:

  • Tassels in your choice of colors. I found mine for sale on etsy.
  • 8mm gold jump rings
  • pliers
  • Gold bangles or bracelet blanks like these from Michaels:

Then all it took was attaching the tassels to the bracelet blanks with the jump rings.

And voila! A dainty little piece of jewelry for my napkin that instantly increased the beauty of my whole table setting. Now if only I had that matching flatware instead of silver!
