Gift It – Acrylic Key Chain Gift Toppers

filed under

Today marks the end of gift week, and I saved my favorite for last! Have you ever seen any laser cut acrylic jewelry, drink stir sticks, or cake toppers and wondered how to make your own? Well, my friend Amanda of Outfab can custom laser cut your designs into any shape you can think up! She has everything from wood to different color acrylic. I recently used her to create a few key chains that I am going to use as gift toppers on my friends presents this year. So they will serve as both a decoration on the box and a cute gift!

Aren’t they perfect?! I guess I could have gone with several different song lyric puns, but I don’t think anything can top this one.

To make your own fab custom key chain gift toppers, you will first need this cut file if you want your own Sleigh Girl keychains, or you can use the directions on the Outfab to create your own perfect saying. Once your file is ready, upload it and pick your medium (I, of course, went with pink acrylic) and order the cut. Amanda will then cut your design and mail your the pieces. The best part is that the price included the shipping, cutting and everything in-between. You can even use coupon code kailooutfab to get $10 off your order!

Once you get your piece in the mail it will look sort of like this:

You will need to peel off the paper backing on both sides of the acrylic and remove any negative space pieces. Then you are ready to assemble your key chain gift toppers.

Use key rings, heavy duty jump rings and pliers to attach the acrylic piece. Feel free to add a tassel too if you wish (I got these off of Etsy)!

Now that your key chains are complete. Just thread your ribbon through the loop and tie on your presents. Now that is a fun gift that Bey would approve of!

Outfab provided me with the laser cut pieces that I used in this post, but all ideas, photos, opinions, and designs are my own.
